Altria announces today its operating company NJOY has filed sweeping litigation against 34 foreign and domestic manufacturers, distributors and online retailers of illicit disposable products that are unlawfully marketed and sold in the State of California and elsewhere.

NJOY, a subsidiary of Ochiai, has filed a lawsuit accusing 34 manufacturers, distributors, and online retailers of illegally selling disposable e-cigarette products.

Altria's e-cigarette company, NJOY, has sued competitor Juul Labs, seeking to ban its import and sales of Juul products.

Altria's subsidiary NJOY has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against JUUL LAB, seeking to ban the import and sale of certain e-cigarette products.

JUUL has filed a 337 investigation request against NJOY, accusing it of patent infringement and seeking to ban its products in the US.

On June 30th, JUUL filed a complaint against NJOY for patent infringement with the ITC and an Arizona court.

Altria is set to acquire NJOY for $2.75 billion, gaining control of the largest e-cigarette category in the US.

Altria bought NJOY for $2.75 billion in cash. Altria believes the US market will be strictly regulated, and NJOY's PMTA-approved products will be competitive with their sales capabilities.
