After 2 decades of development, the e-cigarette industry has become a highly focused global industry, whose pace is not showing any signs of slowing. However, this sector will encounter various challenges in terms of market, regulation, public health and public opinion. All parts of the sector will overcome these challenges with innovation. Against this backdrop, the industry is in great need of a global media outlet like 2FIRSTS to serve as a solid bridge to face the future e-cigarette market and all the challenges that lie ahead with every practitioner, said Echo Guo.

Jason then opened with "20 years of vaping" of Chinese e-cigarettes, sharing the export data and major overseas markets of Chinese e-cigarette manufacturers, thus emphasizing the importance of Chinese e-cigarette companies in the industry and the status of Shenzhen as the global "vape valley". Jason explained the Chinese e-cigarette regulatory system from the perspective of the industrial chain and conveyed the concept of legal, compliant and high-quality development of the Chinese e-cigarette industry.

The establishment of the 2FIRSTS London Press Center is inseparable from the strong support of ECCC. As a bridge between the government and enterprises, ECCC plays a significant role not only in guiding the standard development of enterprises, regulations, policy implementation, corporate compliance, and industry sustainability but also importantly in opening up a broad European market for more domestic enterprises, allowing them to obtain overseas cooperation opportunities and hot-spot frontier information of the overseas markets.

2FIRSTS London Press Center will be based in the UK to cover the entire European market and regulatory activities, truly bridging the Chinese e-cigarette industrial chain with the European market.

2FIRSTS has established cooperation with the Independent European Vape Association (IEVA), the Independent British Vape Trade Association (IBVTA), and the UK Vaping Industry Association (UKVIA). 2FIRSTS will integrate its resources and make use of the geographical and resource advantages of the UK to follow up on the latest developments more comprehensively on the UK and European e-cigarette market.

The London Press Center is only the first step towards "global information in the vaping industry". 2FIRSTS will eventually establish press centers in other regions of the globe.

Scottish Vape Display Rules Could Cost Businesses £61 Million, Affecting More Than 11,000 Retail Outlets
A Scottish government impact assessment estimates that proposed vape display and packaging rules could create up to £61 million ($82 million) in compliance costs for businesses, affecting more than 11,000 retail outlets. The estimated costs are mainly linked to inventory adjustments, retail storage changes and the resources required for businesses to understand and implement the new requirements. The measures form part of the UK’s broader efforts to tighten vape regulation, particularly around product displays, packaging and sales practices.

Exclusive Analysis | Smoore H1 Revenue Rises 19.9% Amid Growth Concentration, Profit Pressure and Slowing Momentum
Smoore’s first-half 2026 revenue rose 19.9%, but the results revealed growing structural risks beneath the headline growth. Heat-not-burn contributed about 61% of incremental revenue and remains driven largely by one core customer, while traditional vaping markets diverged, own-brand growth slowed and China enterprise revenue declined further. Gross profit and adjusted profit lagged revenue growth, while second-quarter revenue growth slowed to about 1.9%, putting greater focus on the quality, concentration and sustainability of Smoore’s expansion.

WIRED Investigation: Chinese-Made Vapes Turn to 6-Methyl-Nicotine and Other Analogs, Challenging U.S. Regulation
U.S. technology and investigative publication WIRED has examined how nicotine analogs are emerging as a new challenge for the country’s vape regulatory framework. The article argues that after the U.S. expanded federal oversight of nicotine products in 2022, some manufacturers began using nicotine-like compounds such as 6-methyl-nicotine that may fall outside existing definitions. Researchers cited by WIRED said some nicotine analogs could be more potent than traditional nicotine, although human health impacts remain unclear. U.S. policymakers are considering broader definitions of nicotine to bring these compounds under federal oversight.

Philip Morris International (PMI) Chief Global Communications Officer Moira Gilchrist said artificial intelligence is changing how companies understand audiences, manage owned information channels and communicate business transformation. PMI is using AI-generated audience personas to test messaging while optimizing its corporate website and other owned channels for large language models.
