In terms of specifications, the Ploom AURA is thinner and longer compared to the PLOOM X (43.5 x 88.5 x 24 mm). The maximum number of uses after a full charge has been increased from 20 to 27, and it can be used consecutively up to 3 times.

Additionally, the Ploom AURA will be used with the EVO tobacco sticks. The EVO tobacco sticks are a high-end brand introduced by JT for the first time, with three initial flavors: Deep Regular, Cold Menthol, and Berry Crystal. The price of the EVO tobacco sticks is 550 yen (3.87 USD, tax included).

 

Prior to this, PLOOM X paired with Camel Sticks for tobacco sticks.

 

 

Four Heating Modes with Bluetooth Control

 

 

One of the key innovations of the Ploom AURA is its use of the latest "SMART HEATFLOW" heating technology. According to the official website, SMART HEATFLOW can maintain the highest heating temperature for an extended period of time, with a heating temperature of 320 degrees Celsius, supporting four heating modes: standard, strong, long-lasting, and energy-saving. The long-lasting mode allows for 6 minutes of use and can support 27 tobacco sticks at full charge, while the energy-saving mode allows for 3 minutes of use and can also support 27 tobacco sticks at full charge.

The Ploom AURA does not feature any buttons or screens on its exterior. Users simply need to slide open the cover and insert a tobacco stick to use the device. The switching of heating modes can be controlled through Bluetooth connection.

Launched in Japan at a Retail Price of Around $20.94

 

 

Currently, the Ploom AURA is available for purchase at CLUB JT online store and Ploom specialty stores nationwide in Japan. The selling price of the Ploom AURA starter kit is 2,980 yen ($20.94, tax included) and the price of the EVO tobacco sticks is 550 yen ($3.87, tax included). Starting on July 1st, the products will be expanded to national convenience stores and some tobacco retail channels for sales.
