The deal could be announced as early as this week, but there is still the possibility that the acquisition will fall apart.

On February 27, the "Wall Street Journal" reported on Monday, citing people familiar with the matter, that Altria Group (MO.N) planned to conduct acquisition negotiations with NJOY, the third largest e-cigarette brand in the United States, for US$2.75 billion. In addition, it is reported that the FDA has approved six products of NJOY for PMTA, which are:

  • NJOY Daily Rich Tobacco 4.5%
  • NJOY Daily Extra Rich Tobacco 6%
  • NJOY ACE Device
  • NJOY ACE POD Classic Tobacco 2.4%
  • NJOY ACE POD Classic Tobacco 5%
  • NJOY ACE POD Rich Tobacco 5%

The deal's results may be announced early this week, and reports said the negotiation might fail.
