American Snuff Expands Manufacturing Hiring as Reynolds American Builds Future-Ready Operations

According to Reynolds American, American Snuff Company, a Reynolds American company, is adding more than 50 manufacturing roles at its Clarksville, Tennessee facility as part of Reynolds American’s wider investment in American manufacturing. The Clarksville facility is the second-largest production facility across Reynolds American.

 

More than 50 manufacturing roles will be added at the Clarksville facility

 

The company said the new positions are among the latest to be announced under Reynolds American’s plan to invest more than USD 3.2 billion across its U.S. operations by 2030. According to the company, that investment has already supported the addition of 1,000 jobs since 2024 and is expected to support another 1,000 direct and indirect jobs across its operations and U.S. supply network.

 

Machine operator and maintenance technician roles will be filled throughout 2026

 

American Snuff Company said the roles will be posted and filled throughout 2026 and will include machine operator and maintenance technician positions. The company also said new employees will receive hands-on training and development to build technical skills that support modern manufacturing operations and long-term career advancement.

 

The company said the investment supports its shift toward a predominantly smokeless business

 

Adriano Rusak, vice president of manufacturing at American Snuff Company, said the business has grown alongside the local community for more than a century while continuing to evolve its operations and maintain a strong local presence.

 

Reynolds American said its multi-year investment supports its continued evolution toward a predominantly smokeless business by migrating adult smokers to alternative smokeless nicotine and tobacco products. The company also said American Snuff Company is the second-largest smokeless tobacco products manufacturer in the United States.

 

The company said American Snuff Company’s impact in Clarksville extends beyond the facility itself, supporting regional farmers and agriculture, strengthening the local economy, and contributing to the long-term vitality of the community as it grows its presence in Montgomery County.
