Arrest Made for Illegal Sale of E-cigarettes to Minors in Bahrain
A man was arrested in Bahrain for illegally selling e-cigarettes to minors, following a public tip about online solicitation.

According to Bahraini media outlet Gulf Insider, on April 22nd, The Child Protection in Cyberspace Unit recently arrested a man suspected of illegally selling e-cigarettes to minors, under the command of the Bahrain Anti-Corruption and Electronic Security General Directorate.

 

According to reports, the suspect was arrested after being reported by the public for using social media platforms to lure children and illegally selling e-cigarettes that may contain addictive substances. Authorities took the report very seriously, swiftly conducted a thorough investigation, and arrested the suspect in the act of selling prohibited products.

 

In response to this incident, the child protection unit against online abuse is urging parents to remain vigilant, educate children about recognizing and preventing online risks, and closely monitor their online activities to prevent them from being exposed to harmful material or legal issues. The child protection unit against online abuse has made appropriate efforts in terms of publicity and cooperation to protect children from various online threats.
