BAT is conducting a new study with Vel that aims to compare modern oral nicotine pouch products with traditional cigarettes, in order to provide new insights into their health impacts. Details of the protocol for this study have been published in the JMIR Research Protocols journal.
The study assessed early indicators related to exposure to certain toxins and smoking-related diseases in individuals who have been using Velo for over six months and compared them to smokers, former smokers, and never smokers.
Currently, the results are being analyzed and will be released before the end of the year.
