
According to the H2FOZ media report on August 7th, Brazilian federal police arrested a man carrying a large quantity of contraband goods during a routine inspection.
At the Friendship Bridge international checkpoint (Paraguay border), customs officials conducted a routine inspection on Wednesday and seized over a thousand e-cigarettes. These items were hidden in two vehicles.
During the initial inspection, customs officials found an e-cigarette in the stereo of a taxi. The product belonged to a passenger from Paraguay and was valued at approximately 28,000 reais (about 35,592 yuan).
According to the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service (RFB), the taxi driver and passengers were released, while the goods were seized. The specific quantity of products seized in this operation was not disclosed.
In another inspection, law enforcement officers found various smuggled items in the trunk of a vehicle driven by a Brazilian driver, including 979 e-cigarettes, 21 bottles of red wine, 20 boxes of the aphrodisiac "Bee Love," and a mobile phone. These items have a total value of approximately 50,000 reais (approximately 63,557 yuan).
According to the photos in the report, the smuggling of e-cigarettes involves brands such as "IGNITE" and "OXBAR".
