
According to the latest trade data from the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China, 2FIRSTS has compiled the e-cigarette export figures from China to the United Kingdom in September 2023. The details are as follows:

Exports reached approximately $115 million, with a monthly growth of 11.79% and a year-on-year growth of 6.71%.

The export volume reached approximately 2,883 tons, increasing by 10.30% compared to the previous period and by 36.47% compared to the same period last year.

The export unit price for "e-cigarette and similar personal electronic vaporizer devices" is $39.9 per kilogram, showing a 1.35% increase compared to the previous period and a 21.80% decrease compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, the average price for these devices is $5.91 per unit.

Among them, "e-cigarettes and similar personal electronic vapor devices" accounted for 10% of the export category, while "non-combustible products containing nicotine, excluding tobacco or reconstituted tobacco" accounted for 90% of the share.

According to data from Statista, the e-cigarette market in the UK is expected to generate $3.9 billion in revenue by 2023. The annual growth rate is projected to be 2.45% (compounded annual growth rate from 2023 to 2028). In terms of population, the per capita e-cigarette consumption in 2023 is estimated to reach $64.59. The popularity of e-cigarettes in the UK is noticeably increasing, with more and more people switching from traditional cigarettes to e-cigarettes.
