29,600 IQOS Cartridges "TEREA" Seized by Dalian Customs
The items in question are currently being held for further processing.

While supervising the baggage of passengers on inbound flights, the customs officers at the travel inspection site of Dalian Zhoushuizi Airport found that the baggage of a passenger who chose the undeclared channel for customs clearance had an abnormal image of his luggage. The customs officers then inspected the luggage and seized 148 heated tobacco products, totalling 29,600 sticks. At present, the relevant items have been temporarily detained for further processing.

China Customs Reminder: 

"Cigarette products belong to the national restricted articles of entry. According to the General Administration of Customs Announcement No. 102 of 2022, starting from 1 November 2022, passengers entering the country can carry duty-free two smoking devices; six e-cigarette cartridges (e-liquid) or products sold as a combination of e-cigarette cartridges and smoking devices (including disposable e-cigarettes, etc.), provided that the combined capacity of the tobacco liquid does not exceed 12 ml. Passengers travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao may carry duty-free one smoking device; three e-cigarette cartridges (liquid atomisers) or products sold in combination with smoking devices (including disposable e-cigarettes, etc.), provided that the combined capacity of the liquid does not exceed 6 ml. E-cigarettes without labelled liquid capacity are prohibited from being brought into the country. Travellers under the age of 16 are prohibited from bringing e-cigarettes into the country. Passengers carrying e-cigarettes into the country in excess of the specified quantity or capacity will be dealt with by Customs in accordance with the law."
