Exploring the Nicotine Product Market in Las Vegas
2FIRSTS visits a Las Vegas tobacco shop to examine the market for nicotine products in Nevada.

On January 9th, staff members from 2FIRSTS Washington News Center visited a tobacco shop in Las Vegas to investigate the local market for nicotine products. It was found that Nevada, where Las Vegas is located, does not have any flavor bans and levies a 30% wholesale tax on all e-cigarette products.

At the entrance of the store, 2FIRSTS employees noticed numerous advertisements and sales promotions for nicotine products posted on the glass doors, with cigarette products being the main focus.

The predominant feature of the photos on the door is cigarette packaging, as seen in the source image from 2FIRSTS.

The profit of disposable e-cigarettes has doubled, with a price difference of nearly three times the amount in the markets of the United States and Russia.

At the disposable e-cigarette section of the store, there is a wide variety of product brands and types available at prices ranging from $19.99 to $29.99 per unit (equivalent to approximately ¥135-¥203). The most popular product in-store is the Elf Bar 5000 disposable e-cigarette, which sells for $24.99 (approximately ¥169) with a procurement cost of $11.5 (approximately ¥78), yielding almost double the profit.

Staff members of 2FIRSTS compared the number of puffs of the elf bar5000 in the Russian market and found that the product is priced at 1,199 rubles per unit (approximately RMB 117). This is approximately 52 RMB cheaper than in the United States.

2FIRSTS interviewed the staff of the store who stated that the sales of the elf bar product has decreased. During the procurement process, they are open to considering new brands.

One of the main brands sold in the store is FLUM, which offers various types of disposable products. Among them, FLUM FLOAT has a stock of 3000 pieces and is sold in the store for $20 per unit (equivalent to RMB 136). However, in Russia, the same product with the same quantity is sold for 440 rubles (equivalent to RMB 44), which is only one-third of the price in the Las Vegas market in the United States.

It is reported that the brand originates from Shenzhen Dosen Steam Technology Co., Ltd.
