According to reports, this regulation will penalize both the buyer and seller, with a fine of $50 for any person under the age of 21 who purchases, carries, or uses any e-cigarette products in Flushing. A second violation will result in a fine of $100, while three or more violations may lead to misdemeanor charges.
Anyone who sells electronic cigarettes to minors under the age of 21 may face misdemeanor charges, punishable by up to 93 days in jail and a fine of $500.
