According to a report by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) on July 5th, with the assistance of the Greater Manchester Police (GMP), the Salford Trading Standards Bureau in the UK has seized 35,000 disposable e-cigarettes and 3,500 bottles of e-cigarette e-liquid from a company.

According to the investigation, these products are all considered illegal, and some of them exceed the legal limit for e-liquid content by 11 times.
Since January, the Salford Trading Standards agency has seized nearly 85,000 illicit e-cigarette products worth over £650,000.
The department stated that among the seized products, one of them was a blueberry-flavored e-cigarette in the shape of a beverage, potentially designed intentionally targeting children.

The spokesperson for the Environment and Community Safety department expressed shock at manufacturers deliberately catering to children in the design of e-cigarettes. They also highlighted the alarming participation of local businesses in such exploitation, which is truly unbelievable. The spokesperson extended gratitude to those who reported these incidents, enabling our staff and the police to remove these unregulated and illegal products from shelves. When appropriately regulated, e-cigarettes can serve as an effective tool for adults trying to quit smoking. However, they should not be used by non-smokers or individuals under the age of 18, as nicotine is highly addictive.
