At InterTabac 2025, nicotine pouches emerged as one of the biggest highlights. Hall 6 was almost entirely taken over by pouch brands. Based on 2Firsts’ on-site observations, products commonly featured high nicotine strengths starting at 15 mg, with some reaching as high as 150 mg. Beyond nicotine pouches, exhibitors also rolled out caffeine/energy pouches, CBD pouches, and oral dissolvable films, while heavily emphasizing “Made in Sweden” as a market credential. Multiple OEM providers showcased

2Firsts, September 19, 2025, Dortmund, Germany — InterTabac 2025 runs from September 18 to 20. During the show, 2Firsts toured the halls to track new releases and industry moves, bringing first-hand updates and trend insights across the novel-nicotine space.

On site, 2Firsts observed an explosive increase in nicotine pouch brands, with Hall 6 effectively serving as a dedicated hub for the category.

The hall gathered numerous European brands, particularly from Sweden, Denmark, and Norway, alongside players from the UK and India, underscoring the internationally competitive landscape for nicotine pouches.

A representative from a Belarusian brand told 2Firsts that Russia, Belarus, and neighboring markets demand notably higher nicotine levels than many other regions; their own lines start at 15 mg and go up to 60 mg—a higher baseline compared with ZYN’s 3 mg offerings. Products claiming up to 150 mg nicotine were even spotted at the show.

Beyond nicotine pouches, some companies introduced caffeine/energy pouches, CBD oral pouches, and nicotine oral dissolvable films to extend pouch-style portfolios and meet diverse consumer needs. Notably, even brands not from Sweden often highlighted “Swedish manufacturing” in their marketing materials.
