E-cigarettes Possibly Included in Tobacco Regulatory System, Focusing on Tobacco Shop Distribution
Juan revealed that Olé is an e-cigarette brand from the United States that entered the Spanish market last year and quickly became one of the most popular e-cigarette products in the country.

On June 3rd at 10:00 AM local time in Madrid (16:00 Beijing time), the Vapexpo Spain, an e-cigarette exhibition, officially opened its doors at the Crystal Exhibition Center (Pabellón de Cristal) in Madrid, Spain.

During the exhibition, the team from 2Firsts interviewed Juan, the representative of Olé, a popular disposable e-cigarette brand in the Spanish market. Juan revealed that Olé is an e-cigarette brand from the United States that entered the Spanish market last year and quickly became one of the most popular e-cigarette products in the country.

According to Juan, the most popular product from Olé is the Olé Pocket. He mentioned that although the e-cigarette market in Spain is not large, nicotine-free products are highly sought after. 2Firsts learned that brands like Lost Mary, ELFBAR, and WAKA in the Spanish market mostly offer nicotine-free options.

It is worth noting that Juan also stated that e-cigarette regulations in Spain are expected to become stricter, and e-cigarettes may be included in the tobacco regulatory system within the next two years. As a result, Olé is currently focusing on distributing its products in tobacco shops, but will not give up other sales channels such as grocers and convenience stores.

During our research in the Madrid market, 2FIRSTS discovered a decline in the number of dedicated e-cigarette stores, while the number of tobacco shops in the area overwhelmingly exceeded that of e-cigarette stores.

2Firsts will continue to report on the latest updates from the exhibition, so stay tuned.

According to Haypp’s 2026 UK Nicotine Report, women are a key growth driver in the UK nicotine pouch market. Overall sales for Haypp and Northerner rose 60% year‑on‑year in 2025, but purchases by women surged 202%, versus 25% for men. Women’s share of consumers jumped from 22% to 40%. The report attributes this to discretion, perceived health benefits, and more gender‑neutral product positioning, suggesting future growth will come from a broader range of adult nicotine users.
