JTI's Greek Business Leads Market with Popular Brands
JTI's Financial Director, Charalambos Thamnidis, reveals its dominance in the Greek market with popular cigarette brands Winston, Camel, and Old Holborn.

According to Naftemporiki, Charalambos Thamnidis, the Chief Financial Officer of Japan Tobacco International (JTI), stated in an interview that their business in Greece is significantly ahead. Their brands, Winston, Camel, and Old Holborn, have been prevailing in the local market for a long time, while traditional brands BF and GR are also highly popular in this region.

Japan Tobacco International (JTI) has been present in Greece since 1981 and currently holds the leading position in the traditional cigarette products market and the second position in the tobacco products market. Since 2018, the company has also acquired tobacco product producer SEKAP, further strengthening its position in Greece in terms of production and sales.

JTI recognizes the significance of its business departments in regional development and the local communities of the countries where it operates as a global business participant. Modernized production lines, ongoing training, implementation of employee health and safety policies, as well as support for the local society and economy, present challenges for ensuring high-quality production," said JTI CFO Charalambos Thamnidis.
