
According to a report from The Edge Malaysia, Japan Tobacco International Malaysia (JTI Malaysia) has appointed Juliana Mohd Yahaya as the new Managing Director, effective from October 1st.
Ah Haha will be taking over from Khoo Bee Leng, who has worked at the company for 30 years.
JTI Malaysia states, "Akihaya has extensive experience in various leadership positions at Japan Tobacco International (JTI), both at the global headquarters and in various markets."
Yahaya joined JTI Malaysia in 2000, where she has held various roles in marketing and sales. She has also worked at JTI's headquarters in Geneva and has extensive experience in leadership positions in Asia and Europe. Since 2020, Yahaya has been responsible for the Belgium and Luxembourg markets.
The company stated, "JTI Malaysia would also like to take this opportunity to thank Ms. Xu Meiling for her loyal service and leadership to the company, and wish her a happy retirement." Ms. Xu Meiling began her position as Managing Director on January 1, 2021.
