According to a report by Harrowonline on October 11th, a newsstand located in Eastcote, London, was fined £8,000 for selling an e-cigarette to a 15-year-old teenager and providing an illegally oversized e-cigarette.
They pleaded guilty to two charges at the Epsbridge District Court. The case was brought forth by the trademark standards team of the Shillington City Council.
The Trade Standards Bureau conducted an underage purchasing activity on February 13, 2023, utilizing a 15-year-old boy. Another proprietor, Kartar Lamba, has also been fined £800 and ordered to pay a £320 victim surcharge and £550 in council costs. Additionally, the newsstand has been fined £3000 and ordered to pay a £1200 victim surcharge and £550 in council costs.
