On December 6th, the Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program (MMCP) issued a voluntary product recall for medical marijuana that did not pass all necessary tests.
The affected plant material was produced by Green Investment Partners (GIP) and sold to pharmacies. These pharmacies initiated a recall and reported to MMCP that certain batches of cannabis were distributed and sold to patients without passing all nationally mandated yeast and mold tests.
The MMCP has launched an investigation and will release an executive summary after the investigation is complete.
