Philip Morris International has launched the advanced IQOS ILUMA i device featuring SMARTCORE INDUCTION™ technology, marking a new era in the smoke-free future.

【2Firsts News Flash】According to a report from the Monitor on July 10th, Philip Morris International (PMI) announced the official launch of its latest heated tobacco device series, IQOS ILUMA i, in the Albanian market. This series of devices is equipped with bladeless heating technology and the SMARTCORE INDUCTION™ system, providing adult users with a simple, safe, and personalized way to consume.

 

The IQOS ILUMA's LED smart display screen can clearly show the remaining usage time, while the 'pause' function allows users to temporarily stop use by sliding the screen, for up to eight minutes, and resume at any time. Additionally, FlexPuff technology analyzes and adjusts in real time to provide each user with a consumption mode that best fits their habits.

A new study analyzing National Health Interview Survey data found that adult cigarette smoking in the United States declined to 9.9% in 2024, down from 10.8% in 2023. The findings, published in NEJM Evidence, represent a historic milestone in U.S. tobacco control efforts. Researchers noted that while cigarette smoking is decreasing, the prevalence of e-cigarette and cigar use remained largely unchanged, suggesting a shift in nicotine consumption rather than the elimination of tobacco use.

KT&G said on April 20 that it has launched two new “AIIM” sticks for its lil AIBLE heated tobacco device at convenience stores nationwide in South Korea. The new products are “AIIM CHANGE UP” and “AIIM COOL SHOT.” The company said the products were developed based on the existing lil SOLID dedicated sticks “Fiit Change Up” and “Fiit Cool Shot.” With the launch, the Aim lineup for lil AIBLE has expanded to 13 products.
