According to Milehighcre, PMI U.S. will host a job fair to recruit employees for its manufacturing facility currently under construction in Aurora.

The facility produces Swedish Match ZYN nicotine pouches. It broke ground in late 2024, began limited preliminary production in September 2025, and is scheduled to become fully operational in 2026.

PMI stated that the facility will generate an ongoing annual economic impact of $550 million and create 500 direct jobs, as well as 1,000 indirect jobs, for the State of Colorado.

According to the recruitment website, the main position being hired for at the facility is Process Technician, with the following responsibilities:

  • Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Assist in setting up and operating production equipment, conduct routine inspections, and collaborate with the team to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Quality and Safety Monitoring: Strictly adhere to safety and quality protocols, and accurately document process parameters, production data, and any anomalies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in work areas, and actively provide feedback to improve process efficiencies.

Data shows that the $600 million facility spans 600,000 square feet on a 150-acre campus. It is PMI's second ZYN production base in the U.S., following the site in Owensboro, Kentucky.

In January 2025, ZYN nicotine pouches passed the U.S. FDA's Premarket Tobacco Product Application (PMTA) review, receiving authorization to market 20 products of varying flavors and strengths, making it the first authorized nicotine pouch brand.
