Police Raid Uncovers Massive Cash and Tax Evasion in Dortmund
Police seize large amount of cash and nearly 5000 untaxed e-cigarettes in raid on travel agency in Dortmund.

According to a recent report from Ruhrnachrichten, police seized a large amount of cash and nearly 5000 untaxed e-cigarettes during a raid on a travel agency in the northern district of Dortmund, Germany.

Authorities and local government departments conducted a surprise inspection of the travel agency after receiving complaints from the public. In a room adjacent to the main business area, they found hundreds of untaxed e-cigarettes. Additionally, law enforcement officers discovered approximately 4300 untaxed e-cigarettes in a nearby garage. During the inspection, police also seized nearly 23,000 euros from a man, which were hidden in a hidden cash drawer in a printer.

According to reports, customs swiftly intervened and seized the cash and items. Local authorities are investigating whether the travel agency is still operating legally. Based on the information currently available, the travel agency has not conducted any valid commercial registrations since May 2024. Further investigation into this case is ongoing.

The U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) has announced a partial review of a key ruling in PAX Labs' patent infringement case against STIIIZY and ALD, focusing on whether the economic prong of the "domestic industry" requirement was properly assessed.
