Press release: Statement from Guangdong Qisitech on the U.S. House of Representatives Inquiry

Guangdong Qisitech Co., Ltd. has noted the announcement titled "Ranking Member Krishnamoorthi Launches Inquiry into Illegal Vape Imports from the People's Republic of China" on the United States House of Representatives website. We take this matter seriously and wish to issue the following statement:

As a responsible global business, compliance and integrity are integral to our business operations. Guangdong Qisitech is firmly committed to adhering to all applicable laws and regulations in every market where we are present.

We are particularly concerned about this inquiry, as it disproportionately targets a significant number of companies from China. This raises important questions about ensuring a fair, open, and transparent marketplace for all participants.

It is worth noting that GEEK BAR products, manufactured by Guangdong Qisitech, are currently undergoing the Premarket Tobacco Product Application (PMTA) review process with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Despite this, these products have been categorized as unauthorized illegal vapes by the House's Select Committee.

The PMTA pathway sets market access standards for new tobacco products and plays a role in promoting the long-term development of the industry. Guangdong Qisitech fully align with the regulators' efforts to enhance market order and is actively engaging with relevant authorities.

Chinese companies have consistently advanced technological innovation and market competitiveness in the vaping sector, becoming a significant force in the global market. We sincerely hope that US regulators recognize the contributions and role of Chinese companies in an inclusive and equitable manner. Additionally, we look forward to fostering comprehensive and constructive communication with US authorities to safeguard the industry's development, innovation, and progress.

Finally, we reiterate that compliance, fairness, and mutual understanding are essential for the industry's longevity. Guangdong Qisitech remains committed to demonstrating a responsible attitude and proactively cooperating to adapt to these challenges.
