Research on International Expansion Strategy for Chinese E-Cigarette Brands
Chinese e-cigarette brands collaborate with Yunnan University for international market expansion research, marking a significant industry milestone.

On March 21, at the 2Firsts Global New Tobacco Brand and Market Development Symposium, 2Firsts, in collaboration with Dr. Gao Yang's team from the China Brand South Asia Southeast Asia International Communication Research Center at Yunnan University of Finance and Economics, jointly announced the official launch of the research project "The First Generation Methodology Study for Chinese e-cigarette Brands Going Global". This marks a crucial step in the internationalization of Chinese e-cigarette brands, providing solid theoretical support and practical guidance for Chinese e-cigarette companies venturing into overseas markets.

Dr. Gaoyang introduced that as a leading think tank in the Chinese e-cigarette industry, 2Firsts has long been deeply involved in monitoring industry trends and has accumulated a wealth of industry resources and practical experience. During this process, the team has keenly observed the innovation trends within the industry and has noticed that although there are numerous innovative initiatives emerging constantly, they are currently scattered and not cohesive. These innovative achievements are in urgent need of systematic sorting and interpretation in order to better serve the industry's development and help Chinese e-cigarette brands enter the international market.

This joint research project will follow an interdisciplinary scientific research paradigm, breaking through the traditional model of superficial phenomenon scanning and experiential case summarization. With rigorous theory as a guide and the use of efficient toolkits, it will systematically summarize and refine the experience of Chinese e-cigarette industry advanced brands in going global, establish a pioneering and instructive first-generation methodology, and provide strong support for the sustainable and high-quality development of China's new tobacco brands in the internationalization process.

The interim results of the project are expected to be officially released at the Dubai e-cigarette exhibition in June 2025. As one of the world's largest e-cigarette exhibitions, the Dubai e-cigarette exhibition provides an excellent international platform for showcasing the research achievements of the project. This is not only a concentrated display of the project's research results, but also an important opportunity for Chinese e-cigarette companies to announce their brand strength and innovative spirit to the world.

Dr. Gaoyang expressed his hope that through this research project, a version of a brand international expansion methodology for Chinese e-cigarette companies could be developed for collective discussion. This version will serve as the foundation for future industry updates, providing continuous support for further research and practice, to help Chinese e-cigarette companies continuously enhance their brand influence in the global market and achieve sustainable development.

The co-founders and CEOs of 2Firsts, Alan Zhao, stated that the launch of this research project is not only a deep exploration of China's e-cigarette industry internationalization strategy, but also a crucial step for the industry to seek breakthroughs and development in the global market. As a leading think tank and media platform in the industry, 2Firsts has been committed to promoting the high-quality development of China's e-cigarette industry. In this collaboration, we will work closely with Dr. Gaoyang's team to fully leverage our advantages in industry research, resource integration, and brand communication to ensure the high-quality completion of the research project.
