Response to Trademark Rejection of ELFBAR: Large Number of Imitations and Plagiarism

ELFBAR's trademark application rejected in China due to imitation concerns, vows legal action for approval.

On February 27th, 2FIRSTS found through a search on the Chinese Trademark website that the trademark "ELFBAR" applied for by IMiracle (Heaven Gifts) (Shenzhen) Technology Co., Ltd. had been rejected. According to the status of the trademark process, the trademark was submitted for registration on May 9, 2023, and was rejected on February 24, 2024.

In response to this matter, ELFBAR stated to 2FIRSTS that the rejection was due to a large number of imitations and plagiarism of ELFBAR's trademark in the market. ELFBAR has taken legal action and the trademark will ultimately be approved for registration.

South Korea has enacted the Tobacco Harm Management Act, effective November 1, 2025, requiring tobacco manufacturers and importers to test and report harmful substances in their products every two years. Results for all tobacco types—including combustible cigarettes, heated tobacco, and e-cigarettes—will be publicly available from mid-2026.

Russian Police Seize Over 150,000 Counterfeit E-Cigarettes Worth More Than USD 1.65 Million

Russian police in Tambov have detained a man for storing and selling unmarked e-cigarettes. Over 150,000 counterfeit e-cigarettes, cartridges, and e-liquids were seized, valued at more than 126.5 million rubles (approximately USD 1.65 million). Tests revealed that the nicotine content of the seized products exceeded the levels stated on their packaging. A criminal case has been opened under Article 171.1, Part 6 of the Russian Criminal Code.
