$200 Million Investment to Advance Smokeless Product Manufacturing at Reynolds
Reynolds American Inc. announced it will create 200 new manufacturing positions in 2026 at its Tobaccoville, North Carolina, Operations Center, bringing total new roles added over the past two years to more than 1,000. The company added 800 jobs between 2024 and 2025. These roles will support the continued growth of Velo Plus nicotine pouches and Reynolds’ expanding multi-category portfolio, aligned with its mission to build a smokeless world.

2Firsts, December 11, 2025 – According to a press release by Reynolds American Inc., the company announced it will create 200 new manufacturing roles in 2026 at its Tobaccoville, North Carolina, Operations Center, marking another step in its ongoing growth.

 

With this expansion, Reynolds has now added over 1,000 new positions in two years — 800 between 2024 and 2025 — supporting its mission to Build a Smokeless World and the success of Velo Plus nicotine pouches.

 

Reynolds recently invested approximately USD 200 million to enhance its facilities, increase smokeless product capacity, and implement advanced manufacturing technologies. The company continues to recruit and train skilled technicians to support its high-speed, high-tech operations.

 

“For 150 years, Reynolds has been a cornerstone of economic strength in our community, creating well-paying jobs that sustain families across generations,” said Brian Chambers, Senior Vice President of Operations. “Today, we continue that legacy by embracing transformation and welcoming new team members to help grow our future.”

 

Reynolds’ collaboration with Forsyth Technical Community College through the Future-Ready Workforce Alliance provides specialized training tailored to manufacturing needs, preparing a new generation of skilled operators.
