Significant Growth in E-cigarette Market in Bosnia and Herzegovina
According to data from the Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina (UIO), the Bosnian market has received a total value of over 8.3 million marks (equivalent to approximately 32.92 million yuan) in disposable e-cigarettes (with or without nicotine) for the first ten months of this year.
According to recent reports, the value of e-cigarettes and e-liquids containing nicotine in this particular case has exceeded 6.7 million marks, while those without nicotine amounted to 1.6 million marks. It is worth mentioning that the majority of e-cigarettes originate from China, although imports from Serbia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Spain, Poland, Italy, Greece, and Malaysia have also been observed.
Compared to the same period last year, there has been a significant growth in both e-cigarettes and e-liquids in the first ten months of this year. The weight of the related products received during the same period last year was 39,001 kilograms, valued at approximately 5 million marks, whereas this year the weight of the related products is 61,789 kilograms.
Furthermore, according to the retail store Srpskoj, there has been a substantial increase in demand for e-cigarettes recently, with the majority of consumers being young individuals who mostly purchase them on Fridays to enhance their nightlife experience.
