In 2022, the Houston City Council decided to prohibit the use of e-cigarettes within 25 feet of indoor public places or workplaces, building entrances or exits, outdoor sports stadiums, and public transportation stations, along with any other devices that use aerosols.
Despite numerous cities imposing strict regulations and bans on e-cigarettes and their usage, the sales and usage of e-cigarettes continue to grow in the state of Texas, with the market primarily targeting teenagers through promotional and advertising efforts.
