Truist Financial Corp Reduces Stake in British American Tobacco
Truist Financial Corp, a prominent US financial company, has reduced its stake in British American Tobacco by 30.2% in Q2, according to SEC filings.

Recently, according to the latest filing by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Truist Financial Corp, a well-known American financial company, has decreased its stake in British American Tobacco p.l.c. by 30.2% in the second quarter.


Truist Financial Corporation is an American financial holding company that was formed in 2019 through the merger of BB&T (Branch Banking and Trust Company) and SunTrust Banks. It is one of the largest banks in the southeastern United States and as of August 2023, it ranks as the ninth-largest bank with assets totaling $514 billion. The company is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. Truist Financial Corporation offers a wide range of financial services including banking, lending, wealth management, investment banking, insurance, and other financial products.


According to the quarterly trading records, the company retains 677,307 shares after selling 293,543 shares of its stock.


According to incomplete statistics, other hedge funds and institutional investors have recently increased or decreased their holdings in the company. Currently, hedge funds and institutional investors collectively own 7.56% of the company's shares.
