According to SIGMAGAZINE, an Italian e-cigarette media, Philip Morris International (PMI) has recently released a new pod system called Veev One in Italy. The purpose of the launch is to cater to the diverse needs of Italian consumers and ultimately phase out traditional cigarettes as soon as possible.
The newly launched Veev One has undergone several upgrades compared to its previous versions. It features a brand-new design and advanced ceramic heating technology, along with an e-liquid detection system.
In addition, the new Veev One has been optimized in terms of battery life, with an increased e-liquid capacity that allows each individual pod to hold up to 2 milliliters. Moreover, the heating power of each pod has also been enhanced, enabling it to be used up to 1000 times.
According to the published data, Philip Morris International (PMI) will allocate over 99% of its investments towards the research and development of non-combustible products in 2022. Over the past fifteen years, PMI has invested more than $10 billion in manufacturing and marketing smoke-free products, continuously striving for innovation in this field. Currently, over 900 researchers from 40 different countries, as well as experts from approximately 30 scientific and engineering disciplines, are dedicated to the development of new products. The research and development expenses amount to approximately 35.4% of PMI's net income in the second quarter of 2023.
