According to a report by the Express & Star, decision-makers at the Walsall Council in the UK have been urged to adopt a revised tobacco control plan for the years 2023 to 2027. The aim of this plan is to reduce the number of smokers or e-cigarette users in the area and provide necessary support. Reports from council members' meetings indicate that the smoking rate among adults in Walsall is 13.8%, which is higher than the national average of 12.7% in England.
