Chubby Gorilla: Making Their Debut in Malaysia, Targeting the Nicotine Pouch Packaging Market
Chubby Gorilla, a leading e-cigarette packaging brand, expands globally in the fast-growing tobacco industry, seeking new opportunities.

With the booming development of the global new tobacco industry, the packaging industry, as an important supporting force, is also seeking new opportunities in rapid changes. Founded in 2014, the American brand Chubby Gorilla has gradually gained a foothold in the global market with its professional experience in e-cigarette packaging. On the morning of September 7, Jack H, the global sales director of Chubby Gorilla, accepted an interview with 2Firsts to share the company's current strategic focus and outlook for the future market.

First entry into the Malaysian market

Jack H stated that Chubby Gorilla's business has expanded to over 100 countries worldwide, particularly establishing a strong market presence in the e-cigarette packaging industry. Jack H told 2Firsts that this is his first time attending an exhibition in Malaysia, and the company's first entry into the Malaysian market, with the goal of gaining a deeper understanding of the local e-cigarette industry ecosystem in order to better coordinate the layout of their factories and product lines. As a company with factories in China, Chubby Gorilla is committed to providing customers with packaging solutions that meet strict regulatory requirements, especially helping customers navigate the pre-market tobacco product application (PMTA) process required by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The PMTA requirements are becoming increasingly strict, but it has also given us the opportunity to showcase our capabilities. One of our core competencies is our compliance team's ability to effectively navigate and address the constantly changing regulations." Jack H pointed out that as regulatory scrutiny intensifies globally, Chubby Gorilla not only ensures the compliance of its products but also maintains industry-leading stability and quality in product design and manufacturing. "Our packaging is the quality standard in the industry, which is why competitors have been trying to imitate us.

Focus on quality and design

Aside from compliance, Jack H also emphasized the company's strengths in product design and quality. "Our design capabilities and product quality have always been at the forefront of the industry, allowing us to quickly respond to customer needs and maintain a leading position in the market." Chubby Gorilla has been focused on the e-cigarette packaging sector for many years, achieving success in multiple global markets. However, as the industry continues to expand, the company is also seeking new areas for growth.

The nicotine pouch market has become one of Chubby Gorilla's key focus areas for future development. Jack H stated that as the global demand for nicotine pouch products continues to rise, the company plans to expand its presence in this sector. "We see the nicotine pouch market showing an upward trend, and Chubby Gorilla will further expand in this market in the future, providing customers with more diversified product choices through our existing production and design advantages.

Deepen cooperation with the Chinese market

In recent years, Chubby Gorilla has increased its focus on the Chinese market, aiming to provide services to more Chinese brands. "We started paying special attention to the Chinese market last year, and with the development of the local e-cigarette industry, we hope to help more Chinese brands go global through our packaging solutions," said Jack H.

As a packaging company with over a decade of experience, Chubby Gorilla's market strategy always closely follows industry trends. The company is constantly innovating and adjusting its strategies as it further expands into the nicotine pouch market and deepens its cooperation with the Chinese market. The future of Chubby Gorilla is promising.
