According to a report from the Indonesian local news outlet Sindonews on October 11th, an e-cigarette shop in Bekasi, Indonesia was burglarized, resulting in an estimated loss of around 70 million Indonesian rupiah (approximately 30,000 Chinese yuan). The footage of the theft has been widely circulated on social media. It is anticipated that there were more than two culprits involved, who used a black car to transport the stolen goods.
The shop assistant, Zaki, expressed that it was only when he noticed that the store had been burglarized and the lock was missing that he realized the severity of the situation. "They took away all the e-cigarette devices, leaving behind only a small amount of e-cigarette liquid," Zaki said.
In addition to the merchandise in the store, the tablets were also stolen from the shop. Zakki stated that he doesn't know the culprit. However, several e-cigarette stores have been targets of theft in recent times.
Zaki has already reported the theft case to the police. Erna Ruswing Andari, the Head of Public Relations Department at the Metropolitan Police of Bekasi City, has confirmed the theft incident at the e-cigarette store. Currently, the case has been transferred to the Jakarta Metropolitan Police for further investigation.
