FDA Issues Marketing Ban on Vuse Solo Menthol E-Cigarettes

On March 17th, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a marketing denial order (MDO) for two mint-flavored electronic cigarette products under the Vuse Solo brand, owned by RJ Reynolds Vapor Co.

The FDA has announced that the "Vuse Replacement Cartridge Menthol 4.8% G1" and "Vuse Replacement Cartridge Menthol 4.8% G2" must be removed from retail shelves. If these products continue to be sold in the United States, the company will face FDA enforcement action.

However, a spokesperson for British American Tobacco (BAT), the parent company of RJ Reynolds Vapor Co., stated that the company plans to immediately seek an injunction to allow the product to continue being sold while awaiting further review.
