69% of Russians Support Full Ban on E-Cigarette Sales, SuperJob Survey Shows

According to Gazeta.Ru, a SuperJob poll found that 69% of Russians support President Vladimir Putin’s decision to fully ban vape sales in Russia. Only 7% oppose the ban, while 15% said they are indifferent and 9% were undecided.

2Firsts, Nov. 10, 2025 — According to Gazeta.Ru, a recent SuperJob survey shows that 69% of Russians support the full ban on vape sales approved by President Vladimir Putin.

Respondents in favour cited reasons such as “harmful to health,” “vapes are synthetic chemicals,” and “it would be even better if tobacco were banned too.”

Only 7% expressed opposition — down from 11% three months ago. Their main arguments were that “vapes create no smoke or waste” and that “a ban will simply drive sales underground.” Another 15% said they were indifferent (“a personal choice”), while 9% found it difficult to answer.

Women were slightly more supportive of the ban than men (71% vs 67%). Men were more likely to oppose restrictions (12% vs 2%).

By age, Russians aged 35–45 showed the strongest support (81%), compared to 57% among younger respondents and 72% among older ones. About one in four under 35 said the issue “doesn’t matter.”

The highest approval rate — 83% — was recorded among respondents earning over 150,000 rubles per month.

Earlier, Russian authorities and educators advised parents on how to spot signs that teenagers may be using vapes.
