Health Risks of E-Cigarettes: Warning from Parana State Authorities
Following Anvisa's ban on e-cigarettes, Parana state warns of risks as it has the highest consumption rate in Brazil.

According to Band News on April 29th, following the resolution by the Brazilian National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) banning the use of e-cigarettes, the state of Parana issued a warning about the risks of using e-cigarettes.

 

The State Department of Health revealed that the main users of e-cigarettes are young people aged 18 to 24.

 

According to a report released by the intelligence research consulting company Ipec Inteligência em Pesquisa e Consultoria, the state of Paraná is the Brazilian state with the highest e-cigarette consumption, with approximately 4.5% of adults in the state smoking.

 

Previously, Anvisa had issued a resolution prohibiting the manufacturing, importation, sale, distribution, storage, transportation, and advertising of e-cigarettes.
