HQD e-cigarette brand promotes products at 2024 Dortmund tobacco expo despite outdoor advertising restrictions in Germany.

At the 2024 Dortmund Tobacco Expo in Germany, two top executives noticed that the popular e-cigarette brand HQD was once again promoting its products through extensive advertising.

During the exhibition, HQD's advertisements appeared on flags outside the venue, at the top of the aisles, and on large screens. The advertisement background is a bright orange color, which is the main color associated with HQD's flagship products.

However, it is worth noting that the billboards do not have the name or specifications of the product. In September of last year, two Supreme teams found an outdoor advertising for HQD on the streets of Dortmund, featuring the pod system "CIRAK" as the main promotional product at the time, complete with product instructions.

According to Firsts, starting in 2024, outdoor advertising of e-cigarettes will be completely banned in Germany, similar to traditional tobacco products. This includes billboards, posters, and other outdoor forms of advertising in public spaces. Therefore, HQD did not provide detailed product specifications at this year's Dortmund exhibition, possibly in order to comply with these advertising restrictions, particularly to avoid conflicting with local regulations when it comes to product specifications and other specific information.

According to relevant regulations in Germany, e-cigarette advertising can only be done at point of sale and cannot be promoted in a way that appeals to young people or minors. Any advertising that may mislead consumers is also prohibited.
