Idaho Schools Funded for E-Cigarette Detector Program
Idaho school districts and charter schools to receive funding for e-cigarette detectors in popular areas like bathrooms and locker rooms.

According to KTVB on April 18, 31 school districts and charter schools in Idaho will receive funding for a program that tests and detects e-cigarettes. These detectors will be installed in popular areas for e-cigarette use, such as bathrooms and locker rooms.

 

According to a press release from the Idaho Department of Education (IDE), the funding is provided by the Idaho Millennium Fund and managed by IDE.

 

Currently, there are 59 applicants who meet the funding criteria, with a total of 31 local educational institutions ultimately receiving the funds.

A new report from Cancer Council’s Generation Vape research project shows that fewer teenagers in New South Wales are trying vaping after the state government introduced tougher vaping goods laws. British American Tobacco New Zealand said the illicit tobacco trade is responsible for its profit halving and revenue falling between the 2024 and 2025 financial years. Financial results filed with the Companies Office show that BAT Holdings (New Zealand) recorded 2025 revenue of NZ$180.7 million, or about US$106.95 million based on the European Central Bank’s April 27, 2026 reference rates, down from NZ$254 million, or about US$150.33 million, in 2024.
