2Firsts, October 9, 2025 — Japan Tobacco (JT) launched the new heated-tobacco device Ploom CUBE in the Japanese market on October 1, available from 10:00 on the CLUB JT online store and at Ploom Shop outlets nationwide. The starter kit carries a suggested retail price of JPY 1,980 (approximately US$13), with multiple faceplates and accessories released concurrently.
According to official materials, Ploom CUBE and Ploom AURA both use SMART HEATFLOW heating technology, which JT says improves flavor consistency by reducing off-notes and scorching through more precise temperature control over a longer period. The device continues Ploom’s earlier palm-sized, rounded “cube” design.
Ploom CUBE comes in Jet Black, Gold, Navy Blue, and Luna Silver, supports eight interchangeable front panels (including “Lava Red,” “Ocean Blue,” “Plum Violet,” and “Lavender”), and offers accessories such as fabric/leather back covers and a fabric carrying case.
