Earlier, the government of Kazakhstan had decided to completely ban e-cigarettes, related e-liquids, and additives. Member of Parliament Nurgul Tau wrote a letter to the Prime Minister, requesting a ban on the promotion of e-cigarettes to children, teenagers, and young people. This decision is based on the demands of the people of Kazakhstan.
According to data from the Ministry of Finance, sales of e-cigarettes in Kazakhstan have grown 300 times in the past two years, with imports reaching 3 million units. This indicates a highly profitable business model in the e-cigarette market.
