KT&G to Complete New Indonesian Factory, Its Largest Overseas Production Hub
According to Daily Hankooki, KT&G’s new factory in Indonesia will be completed this month and is scheduled to begin operations in February 2026. Once operational, the facility will have an annual production capacity of around 35 billion cigarettes, becoming the company’s largest overseas manufacturing base.

2Firsts, November 12, 2025 — According to Daily Hankooki, KT&G is strengthening its global manufacturing network with the completion of a new factory in Indonesia, set for this month. The facility is expected to begin full-scale production in February 2026.

 

The new plant covers approximately 190,000 square meters and will produce cigarettes and flavor capsules for export to Southeast Asia and other regions. With this facility, KT&G’s total production capacity in Indonesia will reach about 35 billion cigarettes per year, establishing it as the company’s largest overseas production hub.

 

KT&G noted that expanding overseas production capacity, including the recent Kazakhstan plant, is part of its broader strategy to enhance global supply efficiency.
