KT&G Sends "Imagine Volunteers" to Indonesia and Vietnam for Volunteer Service

KT&G Welfare Foundation sends 80 "Imagine Volunteers" to Indonesia and Vietnam for 5-day charity projects in education and healthcare.

According to a report by South Korea's Daily Economic News, KT&G announced in a press conference on January 15th that their welfare foundation will be dispatching a team of approximately 80 "Imagine Volunteers" college student volunteers to Indonesia and Vietnam for a 5-day volunteer service activity.

The main activities of this volunteer service initiative include constructing playground areas and creating murals at Dongpu Elementary School in Guangnan Province, Vietnam. In addition, volunteers will provide sanitary facilities and establish rest areas at Ananda Elementary and Middle School in Bogor District, Indonesia. Furthermore, volunteers will engage in collaborative activities with local university students and donate their talents in various aspects such as cultural arts and sports education to benefit the local students.

The KT&G Welfare Foundation has been organizing overseas volunteer activities since 2005, organizing a total of 50 events and sending 1,620 volunteers to countries such as Cambodia and Myanmar for charitable endeavors.

The relevant person in charge stated, "Over the past 19 years, we have been engaged in volunteer services in countries such as Cambodia and Laos. In the future, we will also actively participate in domestic and international charitable activities, helping those marginalized by society.
