Bangladesh is preparing amendments to its anti-tobacco ordinance that would remove the ban on the production and sale of e-cigarettes and also delete provisions prohibiting the display of tobacco products at points of sale.

Casey’s General Stores (NASDAQ: CASY) reported accelerating growth in modern nicotine products during its fiscal third quarter ended January 31, 2026. Nicotine pouch sales increased 31% year over year, while vapor products rose 12%. Although cigarette unit sales continued to decline, management stated that the rate of decline slowed compared to prior quarters.

Russian business groups are trying to persuade the authorities to abandon plans to ban the sale of e-cigarettes and related liquids at both the federal and regional levels.

Alexander Tolmachev, deputy chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on Youth Policy, said the issue of licensing vape circulation will be resolved at the legislative level in the coming months. He said a significant share of such products currently on the market are counterfeit, that their real nicotine concentration may be several times higher than stated, and that the composition of the liquid is unknown.
