Midnight Theft at E-cigarette Store Shrouded in Suspicion in Philippines
An e-cigarette store in Pasig City, Philippines was robbed after midnight, with suspicions pointed towards inside involvement.

According to a report by GMA News on October 24th, an e-cigarette store in Pasig City, Philippines was robbed after midnight. Surveillance footage from the store shows that after closing the store past midnight, an employee noticed a car parked in front of the store. Within five minutes, two suspects got out of the car and emerged from the store carrying a sack, before swiftly driving away.

 

According to the police investigation, the lock of the store was opened with the key belonging to one of the staff members. The employee in question revealed that they were kidnapped at a street corner and forcefully forced into a vehicle.

 

The owner of the e-cigarette store believes that there is something suspicious about this incident, as the perpetrators seemed to have obtained the store keys beforehand.

 

She stated that the surveillance footage inside the store had ceased recording several hours prior to the theft, with the total value of the stolen items estimated to be approximately 200,000 Philippine pesos.

 

At present, the employees involved in the case have been detained, and the police are still investigating the incident. They also mentioned the possibility of internal staff being involved in this theft.
