New Year Sale: Get IQOS ILUMA with 3,000 yen Discount
Philip Morris Japan is hosting a "[Max Discount 3000 yen] New Year Sale!" event, offering discounted prices for IQOS ILUMA devices.

According to a report by Kakaku, Philip Morris Japan is currently running a "[Up to 3000 yen Off] New Year Discount!" campaign, offering discounted prices for IQOS ILUMA. The campaign will run from January 19th to February 19th. During this period, the IQOS ILUMA series of heated tobacco products will be sold at a maximum discount of 3000 yen.

According to the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), nicotine pouch products must meet regulatory requirements, and unapproved products cannot be legally imported. The move follows Australia’s broader approach of maintaining strict oversight of nicotine products, including nicotine-containing vapes. As nicotine pouches expand globally, Australia’s regulatory approach highlights growing differences in how countries manage emerging smoke-free nicotine products.

China’s vape-related exports reached $1.047 billion in July 2026, up 16.5% year on year and the highest monthly total of the year. Growth was heavily concentrated in the U.S., where exports jumped 53.5% to $404 million and accounted for 94.9% of the overall increase. Exports to all other markets rose just 1.2%. By category, nicotine-containing non-combustible products—primarily vapes—under HS24041200 rose 24.7% and generated 95.5% of the total increase. Vape-device exports under HS85434000 fell 0.4%, while other nicotine-substitute products under HS24041990 grew 88.9% but remained comparatively small.
