New Year Sale: Get IQOS ILUMA with 3,000 yen Discount

Philip Morris Japan is hosting a "[Max Discount 3000 yen] New Year Sale!" event, offering discounted prices for IQOS ILUMA devices.

According to a report by Kakaku, Philip Morris Japan is currently running a "[Up to 3000 yen Off] New Year Discount!" campaign, offering discounted prices for IQOS ILUMA. The campaign will run from January 19th to February 19th. During this period, the IQOS ILUMA series of heated tobacco products will be sold at a maximum discount of 3000 yen.

U.S. President Donald Trump has chosen White House health policy aide Heidi Overton to lead the Food and Drug Administration, Bloomberg reported, citing a person familiar with the matter. Overton currently works on health policy at the White House and previously held a senior role at the America First Policy Institute. If confirmed by the Senate, she would take over an FDA that has experienced months of senior-level turnover. The agency regulates products representing roughly one-fifth of U.S. consumer spending, including e-cigarettes, drugs, vaccines and much of the food supply.

Former BAT global content lead Andy Parton has left the company and launched Destreza, a London-based AI-native marketing consultancy. Florida Governor DeSantis Expands TANF Restrictions, Blocking Welfare Benefits From Buying Tobacco and Vapes

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced an expansion of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) restrictions that would prohibit Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) funds from being used to purchase tobacco and vaping products. British American Tobacco’s (BAT) nicotine pouch brand Velo has released a global consumer study and launched its “Echoes of Tomorrowland” campaign with electronic music festival brand Tomorrowland. The research surveyed 2,009 nicotine users across the UK, Spain, Pakistan, Poland and Austria. Velo said 61% of respondents feel more comfortable expressing themselves when they see others doing the same, while 39% said building meaningful connections becomes harder with age. According to VitalLaw on August 27, 2026, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit vacated an FDA marketing denial order (MDO) against NicQuid LLC, ruling that the agency’s comparative-efficacy standard for electronic nicotine delivery system (ENDS) applications had become a substantive rule requiring notice-and-comment rulemaking under the Administrative Procedure Act (APA). The court did not reject FDA’s authority to compare the public health benefits and risks of flavored vapes, but held that the agency could not establish a broadly binding standard through informal adjudications. The case was remanded to FDA for further proceedings.
