Police Seize 450 Smuggled E-cigarettes in Edirne Operation
Turkish police seize 450 smuggled e-cigarettes from a suspicious car in Edirne during an operation. Driver under investigation.

According to a report by Turkish news agency Anadolu (DHA) on December 13, police in Edirne seized 450 smuggled e-cigarettes during an operation, from a vehicle they suspected.

 

As part of their efforts to combat smuggling activities, the police force in the province intercepted a vehicle in the Enez area that they suspected to be involved in illegal activities. After conducting a search of the vehicle, they discovered 450 smuggled e-cigarettes.

 

The driver has been initiated into the judicial process by the authorities.

Imperial Brands said it will gradually close the Reemtsma factory in Langenhagen near Hanover by 2027 after efforts to find a buyer failed to produce a sustainable agreement. KT&G said on April 15 that it will launch “Miix Cigar Collection,” a dedicated stick for its lil Hybrid heated tobacco product, at convenience stores nationwide in South Korea. The company said the product is the first in the Miix series to apply a “Balance Filter” with internal space in the filter and contains 18% cigar leaf to deliver cigar flavor. With the new launch, the Miix lineup for lil Hybrid will expand to 16 products.
