According to a report by American media outlet Wtap on November 15th, the Wood County School District in the United States has joined forces with the Wood County Prevention Coalition to conduct a three-year prevention campaign against the use of e-cigarettes among teenagers.
On November 14th, the school also organized a poster and video competition, featuring works that focused on raising awareness about the dangers of e-cigarettes. All the winning entries were publicly displayed.
The official in charge of the De County School District stated that this preventive activity is a response to the widespread use of e-cigarettes in Wood County schools three years ago.
According to data from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the rate of e-cigarette use among American high school students has declined from 2022 to 2023, while the rate among middle school students has remained relatively stable.
