Russian Students Launch Initiative to Collect Used E-Cigarettes

Russian students in Samara University have initiated a campaign to collect used e-cigarettes to support anti-aircraft operations in conflict zones.

According to a report from Russian media outlet 63.ru on November 21, student organizations at Samara University in Russia have initiated a campaign to collect used e-cigarettes from students.

These e-cigarettes will be sent to the combat zone to support the actions of the air defense organization. It is reported that the components of these e-cigarette devices are crucial for manufacturing drones.

The news office of Samara University stated, "Our military patriotic organization 'Sokol' is seeking our assistance in procuring these e-cigarette components. Due to their lower current, these components have the capability to enable a mechanism to operate autonomously, even in the absence of power from the main source.

According to the university representative, the students voluntarily participated in this activity. So far, "Sokol" has sent 224 used e-cigarettes to the front line. Moreover, they have no intention of stopping this initiative. E-cigarette collection bins have been set up in all academic buildings and dormitories.
