Russia's Perm Region Implements Ban on E-Cigarette Sales and Advertising
Per international media report, Russia's Perm Region has implemented regulations banning e-cigarette sales and advertising outside of designated areas.

According to international media reports, the region of Perm Krai in Russia has officially implemented regulations banning the sale of e-cigarettes outside of designated trading areas (НТО) and the advertising of e-cigarettes. Perm Krai is the first region in Russia to implement such restrictions.

 

Violation of this rule will result in corresponding punishments: for officials, fines ranging from 15,000 to 20,000 rubles; for legal entities, fines from 50,000 to 100,000 rubles, and the possibility of confiscation of property during administrative investigations. This regulation applies to tobacco products themselves and their sale by merchants.

 

Under the regulation, store owners in Perm Krai are also prohibited from setting up signs and artistic lighting fixtures to promote the sale of e-cigarettes.
