2Firsts, January 8, 2026 – According to mgronline, officers from Thailand’s investigative unit (ปคม.) expanded a case involving a major e-cigarette smuggling network in the South and arrested a 23-year-old woman identified as “Ananda (น.ส.อานัณย์ดาฯ),” also known as “Beer (เบียร์),” at Hat Yai Junction railway station in Songkhla’s Hat Yai district.

The text states the arrest was carried out under a warrant issued by the Thung Song Provincial Court, No. 539/2568 dated Dec. 1, 2025, alleging involvement in concealing, assisting the sale or transfer, receiving, and handling goods connected to customs-related offences, including the import or export of goods that had not undergone customs procedures and moving goods without authorization from customs officials.

The case was linked to an October 2025 arrest by Chulabhorn Police Station in Nakhon Si Thammarat, where police detained a 40-year-old man identified as “Preecha (นายปรีชา)” while he was driving a six-wheel Hino truck. The text says officers seized 133,120 e-cigarettes valued at about 12 million baht, allegedly concealed among coffee and clothing to evade inspection.

During questioning, the driver allegedly admitted he was hired to transport the e-cigarettes from Hat Yai to customers in Nakhon Pathom for 14,000 baht per trip. Investigators then expanded the case and obtained warrants for a total of nine suspects.

The text says police later learned that Ananda (น.ส.อานัณย์ดาฯ) had fled to Bangkok and would return home to Songkhla by train after the New Year period, and officers planned the arrest at Hat Yai Junction.

The suspect denied the allegations during questioning and was transferred to investigators at Chulabhorn Police Station for further legal proceedings.
